You Just Got 10 More Days to Hunt in Pennsylvania!

The 2025 hunting season is almost here. For Pennsylvania hunters, it’s going to be huge. New this year, Pennsylvania law changed. The Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC) can now allow hunting on all Sundays throughout hunting season. This is a change from the past. For many years, Sunday hunting was prohibited. In recent years, only three Sundays were designated for hunting.

What are the New Hunting Dates?

Pennsylvania hunters may hunt on the following Sundays:

  • September 14th
  • September 21st
  • September 28th
  • October 5th
  • October 12th
  • October 19th
  • October 26th
  • November 2nd
  • November 9th
  • November 16th
  • November 23rd
  • November 30th
  • December 7th

The dates in bold were approved after the 2025 Hunting and Trapping Digest was printed. So spread the word to all your friends about the new dates!

What Animals Can You Hunt on Sundays in Pennsylvania?

In 2025, hunters will be allowed to hunt any species that can be hunted on the following Monday.

Deer hunters take note! The deer season ends Saturday, December 13th. There is no hunting Sunday, December 14th.

One note: Migratory game birds may not be hunted on any Sunday. This is a Federal law.
